What is WF Happy Healthy Holidays?
The WF Happy Healthy Holidays programme is aimed at providing healthy food and enriching activities for primary and secondary school aged children who are eligible for income based free school meals.
For the summer holidays eligible children can access a variety of activity and sport sessions at no cost to you. The session will also include a healthy meal.
These sessions will be delivered by a number of providers across the Wakefield district, such as schools, voluntary and community organisations, and childcare providers.
The sessions are fully funded by the Department for Education (DfE). Visit the government website for more information on the national programme.
How do I book a place?
To find out what is on offer and book a place click here. Please do check back on the link, as new activities/places may be added over the coming days.
Your child's school will send you an email once the site has gone live with details of how to access. If you have not received this please contact your child's school directly.

Happy Healthy Holidays #HAF2022
Today was the first day of our spook-tacular Happy Healthy Holiday sessions and what a frightfully busy day it was! Children had fun creating movable mummies, stuffing petrifying pumpkins pillows and even enjoying our own hand-decorated creepy cupcakes!

Happy Healthy Holiday #HAF2022
The fun continues today with the second round of spook-tacular Happy Healthy Holidays sessions. Children enjoyed getting active with Just Dance, making fantastically frightful monster masks and perfecting their gruesome moves with an afternoon of Halloween Disco fun!

Happy Healthy Holidays #HAF2022
Today we welcomed everyone back to the third day of Happy Healthy Holidays for a fun afternoon of designing our very own HHH t-shirts! Children enjoyed practising their computer skills and making veggie pizzas for a tasty treat at dinner time.

A fantastic finish to the Happy Healthy Holidays sessions with an enjoyable day playing bowling!!!
Everyone developed their team building skills and made new friends. Some children even returned in their Happy Healthy Holidays hand-made t-shirts!! What a brilliant day!!!
Summer 2022
To kick things off this Summer we enjoyed some fun activities, talked about each others family tree and enjoyed a home made lasagne.
The following day Andy form Family Fit came to play lots of fun games with us. Thanks a lot Andy! After having our lunch we took part in some craft activities before heading back outside to finish the day playing more team games.
To end this jam packed few days, kids took part in lots of arts and crafts, music, team games and much more.

Spring 2022
Well, its been another fantastic day for all the children attending the Happy Healthy Holiday Camp at Eastmoor Community Project today!
This morning was packed full of really fun arts & crafts and sporting activities, followed by a delicious and nutritious meal.
In the afternoon the children loved taking part in the litter pick walk
in the glorious sunshine. We had a lovely surprise visit from Chris Croxall, Tenant Involvement Officer from WDH who rewarded all the children with an Easter Egg for their hard work.
All the activities this week have been designed to encourage the children to be healthy, active and develop new skills.
Day 3 of Happy Healthy Holidays today at Eastmoor Community Project!
Today the children spent most of the morning playing dodgeball and other fun activities outside, burning off lots of energy, making the most out of the fabulous weather! We also received a visit from Karen from Wakefield Library Services who read books to the children. Everyone enjoyed interacting with the stories, laughing and singing songs. After a nutritious lunch, the children took part in lots of craft activities themed around the environment and world around us. We can wait to see what they all get up to tomorrow.
