🌸 Spring 2022 – Happy Healthy Holidays Recap

#HAF2022 – A Spring Full of Fun, Learning, and Healthy Adventures

We’ve had an amazing start to the Spring 2022 Happy Healthy Holidays at the Eastmoor Community Project, with days filled with creative activities, outdoor fun, and exciting surprises! Each day has been designed to encourage the children to stay active, develop new skills, and embrace healthy habits.

🌟 Day 1: Arts, Crafts & Physical Activity

We kicked off the week with a fun-filled day that combined arts and crafts with exciting physical activities. The children had a blast creating their own masterpieces and taking part in energetic games that got everyone moving. After all the fun, we enjoyed a delicious and nutritious meal, ensuring everyone had the energy to keep going.

The afternoon brought even more excitement with a litter pick walk in the glorious sunshine. The children worked together to help clean up the local area, showing great teamwork and care for the environment.

A wonderful surprise came in the form of Chris Croxall, Tenant Involvement Officer from WDH, who visited to reward the children’s hard work with a special Easter Egg for each of them. It was a sweet and thoughtful gesture that capped off a fantastic day.

🌞 Day 2: Sports, Stories & Crafting

On Day 2, we took full advantage of the beautiful weather, spending the morning outdoors playing games like dodgeball and burning off energy with other fun activities. It was the perfect way to stay active while enjoying the spring sunshine!

We were also joined by Karen from Wakefield Library Services, who treated the children to a storytime session. The kids loved interacting with the stories, singing along to songs, and laughing at the silly parts. It was a wonderful way to spark creativity and imagination.

After lunch, the children dove into craft activities focused on the environment and the world around us. They had the opportunity to explore their creativity while learning about the importance of caring for nature.

😄Day 3

This morning, the children had a fantastic time playing dodgeball 🏐 and enjoying a variety of fun outdoor activities ☀️, making the most of the beautiful weather while burning off plenty of energy! 💨

We were also delighted to welcome Karen from Wakefield Library Services 📚, who captivated the children with lively story readings. Everyone had a wonderful time joining in with the stories, laughing 😄, and singing along 🎶.

After a healthy lunch 🥗, the afternoon was filled with creative craft sessions 🎨 focused on the environment and the world around us 🌍.

We can’t wait to see what exciting things the children will get up to tomorrow! 🌟
