Easter 2024

Easter 2024 – #hhh2024 Highlights

What an exciting and enriching start to our Easter sessions for #hhh2024! Day one kicked off with an inspiring visit from Ben at Central Alliance, who captivated us with a fascinating session all about rocks and their history. The children were amazed to learn how the Earth is formed and had the chance to see the powerful machines used to dig deep into the ground. The afternoon brought a wave of creativity and collaboration as we celebrated what makes each of us unique in a vibrant and diverse world.

Day two continued the fun and learning with the energetic Andy leading us in teamwork-focused sports activities under the warm spring sun. After working up an appetite, the children transformed into little chefs, designing and creating their own delicious fruity pancakes—yum! We were also delighted to welcome Chris Croxall from WDH, who surprised every child with a special Easter Egg gift to celebrate the holiday.

The week ended on a high note with an adventurous trip to RSPB Fairburn Ings and St Aidan's. Exploring the natural environment, the children discovered a variety of wildlife including insects, birds, and even a friendly frog. From climbing treehouses and building dens to pond dipping for tiny creatures, it was a day full of joy, exploration, and shared experiences with parents and families.

A huge thank you to everyone who contributed to making this Easter week one to remember. Happy Easter from all of us at #hhh2024! 🐣🌸🌍
